My 2017 Favorite Reads

Happy 2018!!!!

What were your favorite reads of 2017?

I need to bulk up my already too-huge to-be-read list with some awesome recommendations, please!!!

As for me, I must've been in the mood for some laughs last year (wow, so strange to call it last year!) because I gravitated toward fun books...and a lot of paranormal/fantasy/dystopian stuff. Huh, odd mix.

Anyway, I couldn't narrow it down to favorite books, so I went with most entertaining authors I read in 2017.

So some authors who were new-to-me in 2017 and whose stories I really enjoyed were:

-Cassandra Gannon (totally on the fun side)
-Curse of the Gods Series (Also on the fun side)
-Sarah J. Maas (Court of Thorns and Roses Series)
-Victoria Aveyard (Red Queen series)
-Kayti McGee (Screwmates made me smile)
-Strong Hate by RD Berg and Ashley Christin
-Everly Lucas (Not released until next week)

And I feel bad for those authors whom I love and have read for years and years. I just expect so much from them now. So, honestly, the books I read by my go-to authors might've been just as great and entertaining to me as the newbies I listed above, but it just takes them so much more to surpass some of their earlier greatness. Meaning, I only have three of my non-new author reads that stood out to me in 2017.

 And those are:

-Kristin Hannah (with the book Nightingale...Holy wow!)
-Aly Martinez's Darkest Sunrise Duet and
-Sarah MacLean's The Rules of Scoundrel's series.

Okay! Your turn. Hit me with your 2017 favorites, especially if they’re fun or fantasy-themed!
