The doctor was over 90% certain, but he thinks I'm having a girl.... or a tomboy as my husband is already calling her. He says she's going to go hunting with him, and 4-wheeling, and help him cut wood.
It so was fun to watch her. She waved her arms around, spread out her fingers so we could see five little digits. Then she yawned, probably got bored. But I was captivated.
Sorry the picture I'm posting is crooked. I'm not the best scanner. I call this the praying hands pose. Hopefully you can see the head and bent arm.
Everything else looked good. Heartbeat was 146 bmp, weight was 15 ounces. I gained five pounds myself (uggh). We'll do another sonogram in seven weeks to check on the girl status.
I apologize to all of you who guessed boy. It still could be, I guess. I intend to enjoy my little girl to the fullest though!!
Talk more later.
Oh my gosh!!!! Yay! I love the pose. Too cute. ;-) So, do you have a girl name picked out?
ReplyDeleteOh, yay! How wonderful you got to see such a great view of her! Personally, I think girls are so special--I have two myself! So happy to hear your good news :D
ReplyDeleteLittle girls are so fun! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteU;trasounds have come a looooong way in the past 18 years! When I was pg with my oldest, the basic shape in black and white was visible. I have a slightly clearer view of my daughter 2.5 years later. But the best one came 6 years ago, with my 3rd. And didn't have to drink all that water beforehand!
ReplyDeleteShe's either waving to us or saying, 'Mom...did you MIND?'
Congratulations:)
I kept coming to your blog yesterday and you hadn't posted Then I got so busy, I didn't have any time.
ReplyDeleteSo I was right. Half right. I said boy, and you're having a tomboy. :) WOOHOO for being half right. :)
Congratulations. I'm so happy for you two. And heY, we have six boys and one little girl. Maybe you'll have six girls and one little boy. :)
How thrilling that you got to watch her! Congrats to you and your husband, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much everyone for your support. I'm thrilled.
ReplyDeleteAnd sorry about taking so long to post yesterday. The appointment was late in the morning. Then we had to call family and tell everyone. Then we went out to eat and celebrated. Then hubby needed to console himself about being the only man in the house now, so I took him to buy himself a manly present. Then... we had to go baby shopping and get a car seat and a bunch of books for baby (just the necessities, you know!). And finally, we came home so I could go online and announce the news to everyone else. It was a busy, but fun day. Whew.
Awww, your lil girl already looks beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats and so sweet! I'm sure your daughter will have some interesting outfits with your husband's picking. Pink Lace and camoflauge.... :O)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!
ReplyDeleteThanks again. And, Diane, you're so right. The hubby's already been look at pink camo Onesies!
