I'm waiting a couple days (boo hoo) for the hoop la to die down before I head out to the theatre but, OH, I WILL watch New Moon. Actually, a big group from my family is getting together and going sometime around Thanksgiving, I think. We'll range from ten-years old to...well, I'll just call the older half of us grown!
I remember bawling through, like, three-fourths of this book. Being the romantic junkie I am, I simply cannot stand watching someone with a broken heart. But this go round, I know things will end happy, so I think I'll be able to refrain from the tear-fest. We'll see.
Catch you all at the movies!
(hopefully these movies are still uploadable by the time my post airs)
Although I'm not a fan of the books, I'll probaby see the movie because I liked the first one enough. But I'll probably rent it.
ReplyDeleteMy little sister is going to see the premier though. She's read those books tons of times. :-)
My neice, nephew, sister, and two sisters-in-law are huge fans of the books too. I have to say, I liked the first book lots more than the movie. But it's always fun to see what I read acted out on the big screen.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I'll see the movie (unless my friends drag me). Last time, we (as in a bunch of mid to late 30's women) laughed in totally inappropriate places...which, of course, earned us the scornful glances of tweens everywhere. But really, the lovers' angstful looks were just too funny!
Anyway, enjoy the flick!
Heather, I know exactly what you mean. There was some over-dramatized parts in the Twilight movie that made me want to snicker. But I like the books so much, I'm still anxious to see all the movies.
ReplyDeleteI only read Twilight and haven't seent he movie. But every time I see the ads for New Moon on TV, I keep thinking I'd like to see it.
ReplyDeleteI echo Jennifer. I am not a fan of the books, and haven't caught this Twilight Fever stuff. But the trailers make me curious.
ReplyDeleteMy roomie will prolly rent it. I'll see it then :)
I LOVED the books but haven't seen the 1st movie yet. Daughter S informed me she's been invited to see it on Saturday; maybe after this NaNo craze is over for another year I'll reward myself and curl up with the DVD of the first one.
ReplyDeleteThat's probably why I'm so excited to see the movies, because they make such good trailers for them.
ReplyDeleteAnd watching one of the movies sounds like a great reward from Nano!
You gotta love a man who says it's his job to protect you and then does...
ReplyDeleteOh, Nancy, I do. I really do.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan too, but I'm waiting for the crowds to die down to go see it. I don't do well in crowds at all.
ReplyDeleteDon't think I'll get my guys to go, but we can rent the DVD when that comes out. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteHappy News!
ReplyDeleteKristi over at "The Story Siren" Blog (http://www.thestorysiren.com/) went to the 12am showing of New Moon last night and loved it so much more than Twilight. Just what I like to hear!!
