I guest posted at The Writers Vineyard on Wednesday. If you want to read it, here's the link:
I talked about deleting stuff in my stories I don't want to delete. Yeah, this is the second time I've talked about that this month! Not very original of me. My creative juices for new blog posts ideas are running dry. But not much is happening in my world at the moment. Nothing awful (whew), and nothing amazing (ho-hum). I'm just kind of here.
Bla, bla, bla!
Feels like I'm waiting for that next big step. I know I should be doing something productive with my time, like, oh, maybe...finishing the next book. But I'm too antsy for September and October to arrive, it's hard to concentrate on anything in the hear and now.
Have you ever had that problem? How'd you fix it?
Sit back, take a breather and read one of your all-time favorite books by another author. If I'm stressed out (not a writer, but uni keeps me on my toes haha) I always do this and get back to work afterwards.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Linda.

_yay_ @ Book that Thing
Mmmm, a good book sounds marvelous right about now. Thanks for the idea, Sasse! You're a genius.
Delete:) I commented on the writers vineyard...just fyi. But I hear you. I'm worried I'm not going to be able to come up with enough topics for the guest posts I need to write!! I think you'll be fine. I enjoy all your blog topics no matter what they're about. But, yes, it is frustrating when you feel like the well is running dry...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ivy. Read your comment - I love witty characters; I wish you could've kept that one! Oh well, if it made the story better, I guess it's okay.
DeleteWhen I get like that I take a recharge break. Sometimes just a day or a weekend and do something I haven't done in a while. A couple weekends ago we went to a festival. Just something to break the routine and mingle.
