New Book! New Baby!

So two weeks ago today, this happened....

Photo taken by the amazing  Jamie Hixon Photography

My second daughter, Sadie Elizabeth (Sadie after my sister Sandra, and Elizabeth after my husband's grandma), was born on November 19th, weighing in at 7 pounds and 14 ounces and stretching 21 inches long.

When Lydia--daughter number one--was born, I came home from the hospital on the same day I received my first book (The Stillburrow Crush) in paperback in the mail!  Five years later, we came home from the hospital with little Sadie to find two boxes of The Girl's Got Secrets (my twenty-first book) in paperback waiting on us.  I thought that was a pretty cool coincidence!

Sadie's a little bundle of joy, and big sister is still (thankfully) completely fascinated and proud of her.  But I had forgotten how time-consuming, exhausting, and overwhelming newborns are.

TMI Fact: Today is Thursday, and I'm positive I took a shower last Saturday but can't remember if I have had another again since then until this morning. Ergo, it's no surprise that I hadn't gotten around yet to posting a blog about my new book...that came out FIVE DAYS ago!!! I know, I'm totally losing it, right?

So, yeah!  THE GIRL'S GOT SECRETS is now available in both paperback and ebook for your reading pleasure!

It co-released with the ever-brilliant, amazingly talented Ada Frost and her book SILENT SCARS!

Ada's story is killing it in reviews.  Peeps who have read and reviewed both our books all have given her a five-star rating!  Not all of those have been so five-star for me...not that I'm jealous...much...but I'm also so very excited and happy for my buddy and proud that I got to promote my story with such awesome talent!

Our books are on a book blog tour together now (until December 11th) with Tasty Book Tours.  To catch some reviews, guest posts or interviews on the tour, just follow this link:

You can also find an epic rafflecopter giveaway on that blog tour link for Amazon gift cards and paperbacks.

If anyone is curious what's in the works next for Linda Kage, well...I'm not too sure.  I haven't finished another book yet, so there are no set dates for anything.  But I plan to work on Bailey's story (from the Granton University series), then maybe Brandt and Sarah's story (from the Forbidden Men series).  I also have a new standalone young adult story in mind and want to tell Cassie and Keller's story (from Delinquent Daddy), so...there will be more; I'm just not completely sure what exactly will be next or when it'll get here!

And that's all I have to report for today!  Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving (or November) and that Christmas treats you well!  Hugs!

Coming Soon : The Girl's Got Secrets by Linda Kage and Silent Scars by Ada Frost

Friday, November 6, 2015

For Book 7 of my Forbidden Men series (The Girl's Got Secrets), I'm releasing it on the same day that my book buddy Ada Frost is releasing Book 4 of her Surviving Series (Silent Scars) so we decided to celebrate together!
The big day is NOVEMBER 28th.
And here's a little information about both...if you're curious!

Her Man.

Their Hero.

His Pain.

What happens when you pray for death and you’re ignored?

You have to live.

You have to survive.

But what if the last thing you want is to take your next breath?

To the world, Ryan is a hero, an ex-marine, brother, son and protector. He has devoted his life to keeping others safe. He will do anything and everything to ensure his loved ones are protected, even if that means destroying his very own soul. After an explosion on the battlefield ends his career in the Marine’s, Ryan is sent home with an honorable discharge. But the war hasn’t ended for him.

He is home, he is free and he’s breathing, but he’s dead inside.

He wants nothing more than peace, but the nightmares in his mind will not grant him that. They taunt him, tease him and torture his waking moments. The darkness within him is slowly consuming him, blackness has seeped into his veins and is rotting his core. Ryan is a man on the edge of destruction. For once he is the one in need of saving. He needs a saviour.

He needs her.

Ryan is commissioned as a bodyguard to Aloura Cavendish. When he initially meets her, he believes her to be a spoiled rich brat, wasting his time. But the fire inside her astounds him. When he pushes, he never expects her to push back. When he runs, she chases. For the first time in his life, Ryan has a protector willing to fight his demons. The only problem – he is too afraid to release them.
Here’s the same old “girl posing as a boy” story but with a rock-n-roll twist.

Remy Curran dreams of one day being in a band, except the group she wants to join refuses to hire a girl drummer. So, she auditions as a guy...and makes the cut.

Becoming “Sticks,” a member of Non-Castrato, isn’t quite what she dreamed it would be, though. She spends most of her time keeping up the subterfuge and learning how to walk, talk, act, and drink like a man.

But what’s even harder to deal with is acting oblivious when the band’s heartthrob lead singer, Asher Hart, treats her like one of the guys and not a woman. She never imagined he’d be so much more than a pretty face with a nice voice. But he’s better than perfect. He’s perfect for her.

When love and lies combine, Remy must keep up the act or lose everything. But who knew lying to reach one dream could prevent you from attaining an even bigger dream?

A FALLOW HEART - Rereleased

Friday, October 9, 2015
After the publisher for A Fallow Heart closed its doors, I went ahead and self-published it. (Got it a new cover too!)

So now it is available again, in ebook only at this time!  I'll work on getting the paperback ready next!

Buy Link : Amazon Kindle only (for the time being!)
A Fallow Heart can be read as a standalone or a prequel to The Trouble with Tomboys. And it's about:
Ten years ago, an oil tycoon’s daughter and a farmer’s son shared a moment neither would ever forget. When she left town in disgrace, a piece of her stayed locked deep within his soul. And like the ground he tended, his emotions lay fallow for years.

Cooper Gerhardt’s deeply buried feelings for Jo Ellen Rawlings grew more fertile over time, just waiting for the day she would return to release his deepest desires.

When she strolls back into Tommy Creek, Texas for her ten-year class reunion, Cooper shows her farm boy style exactly what she missed by leaving. Starting a short-term affair is simply unavoidable.

But when the week is over, can either of them let go of the responsibilities and apprehensions keeping them apart? Or will their fallow hearts learn to flourish together?
In other news:  The Girl's Got Secrets (Forbidden Men, Book 7) will be out in about TWO MONTHS!!!
Cover created by the amazing Ada Frost!

It's up for pre-order in ebook at a few places like:

The paperback version will be available at Amazon in a few weeks!

On Monday (or early next week), Xpresso Book Tours will have sign up for any reviewer who might want an ARC to read...AND they'll have a sign up for a Release Day Blast!

So what's this one a about?

Two new members are joining the Forbidden Men ranks.  Knox and Felicity.  Here's a tiny bit about story:

I fell in love once.
It was amazing. She was amazing. Life was amazing.
I lived for each time I could see her, and nothing else mattered, not that our families were enemies, our time together was forbidden, or we had to meet in secret.
Our love could conquer all.
Until it didn't.

So I was ripped away from the love of my life and shoved into hell, forced to continue without her.
It shattered me, broke the best parts of me, left me permanently damaged.

Or so I thought.
Years later, I swear history’s trying to repeat itself because she’s back in my life, and I’m just as drawn to her as I was before. But I'm older and wiser now, and I know she should stay away from a worthless piece of ex-con like me.
So, I will not let her in. I absolutely refuse to hurt her. I will keep her away.
Then again, sometimes risking your greatest fear to get to a smile makes everything worth it, and besides, I’m not sure I can resist her, anyway.
This is the story of how Felicity Bainbridge changed my life forever, starting one summer day long ago after I was forced to change a dirty diaper...
--Knox Parker

And if you wanted any sneak peeks, here's a couple excerpts!

"I’m fine. It’s okay. I...” When I looked up, the words stalled on my tongue. Then they dissolved in shock as I realized I knew him. “You’re...” Well, maybe I didn’t KNOW  him, know him. But I definitely knew what he was. He was, “...a Parker.”
I wasn’t sure which Parker exactly. I’d seen him in school; he was a year ahead of me. But I didn’t know his first name. It had to be strange, though. They all had funky first names. Speed. Cobra. Mercedes. And there were a ton of them. Six or seven, or something like that. Their father had lined them up on our driveway and listed them off, right before yanking forward the only girl and claiming my brother Garrett had gotten her pregnant.
That had been months ago, back in the spring. After a brief, private conference with Bruce Parker—the Parkers’ dad—my father had dismissed them out of hand and sent the lot of them away, complaining throughout dinner that evening about how the dirty trash Parker family had upset his entire afternoon by daring to set their pathetic, second-hand-store shoes on his property.
The entire scene had caused a stir for weeks, really. Father grumbled about how he’d like to take the Parkers’ land from them and send them away permanently. Mother had fretted over possible rumors circulating of any of her sons having had any kind of dealings with a Parker. Max incessantly teased Garrett about his impending fatherhood. And an indignant Garrett disclaimed all accusations. But I hadn’t seen or heard from anyone in the Parker family since then.
Until now.
As my eyes grew big with shock, his narrowed in recognition.

“Bainbridge,” he hissed.
And just like that, we were enemies.
“Hey, everyone. This is Knox Parker. He’s our new bartender.”
All four men spun around, and every gaze landed on me.
The fourth guy finally wandered closer, eyeing me up and down. “Since when do we have a new bartender?”
“Since today,” Pick answered casually.
Mr. Curious hitched his chin Pick’s way. “Is this the ex-con?”
Pick shook his head and sighed. “Ten,” he muttered. “You got a big fucking mouth, you know that?”
“What?” Ten shrugged. “Was I supposed to keep that secret?”
“Just...” Pick lifted his hands. “Let’s not go spreading his record around outside the six of us, okay? In fact, for the first week or so, you all don’t even know his name. Got it?”

None of the other bartenders seemed to get it. They stared at him as if he’d lost his mind. I gave him my own confused glance, wondering why he wanted even my name kept under wraps. But he didn’t explain himself.

Finally, the one Ten had called Lowe pointed at me as he asked Pick. “Is he—”

“Yes,” Pick clipped out, sending Lowe a hard stare before Lowe whirled back to me and studied me from head to toe.

A moment later, he huffed out a strange sounding, “Oh.”

I had no idea what they were talking about, so I transferred a leery scowl between the two of them, hoping they’d clue me in. But all Lowe did when I glanced at him was offer me a nervous smile and a greeting nod, which only made me warier.

What the hell?

From his barstool, Hart tipped his chin up and decided to talk to me directly. “So what’d you do time for?”

I turned my attention to him, and something in my gaze must’ve intimidated him because he took an untrusting pull back in his seat. Since it was obvious I already skeeved him out, I couldn’t help myself; I answered, “Rape and murder.”

A pregnant pause followed before Ten exploded, “What the fuck, Pick? You just hired a murdering rapist to work with us? Dude!”

Pick sent me a dry glance as if to tell me to keep my mouth shut. But I only gazed back, unrepentant. It wasn’t as if I’d lied. I had done time for both accusations.

Rubbing a spot on his forehead, Pick frowned at his bartenders. “How long have you idiots known me? Do you honestly think I’d hire a rapist?”

The disgust in his voice seemed to relieve them, but the one still standing closest to me, visually inspecting me, asked, “What about the murdering part?”

Pick shrugged. Then he glanced at Lowe and murmured, “I’m sure he had a good reason for that.”

“Oh, great. That’s just great.” Ten threw his hands into the air and spun away, before facing Pick again. “When he rapes and murders me, please tell my wife he probably had a good reason for it.”

Hart, still sitting in front of the laptop, snickered. “If he murdered you, Ten, he WOULD have a good reason.”

“That new bartender keeps checking you out,” Aspen slurred into my ear, not listening to a freaking word I’d just said.

“Huh?” I glanced over, but he was already in the process of turning away. I scowled at his backside, even though he had a nice one. A very nice one. Hmm. It figured. I think only the sexiest men alive were allowed to bartend at Forbidden. It had to be some kind of decree written somewhere, or something.

My drinking buddy nudged my elbow. “So? What do you think? I think he’s yummy.”

I sent her an incredulous glance because I’d never heard her appreciate anyone’s sexiness except Noel's before, and every freaking bartender who worked at Forbidden was hotter than sin.

When she wiggled her eyebrows, letting me know she’d had one too many to drink, I snorted out a laugh. Aspen was adorable and hilarious when she drank.

She leaned into me and whispered loudly, “I think you should ask him if you can ride his disco stick. You know, to help you repound from Cameron.”

I snorted and slapped a hand over my mouth. “You mean, reBOUND?”

“Tha’s what I said.” Her brow crinkled with confusion. “Wasn’t it?”

“Sure,” I murmured, since re-pound seemed just as apt a term for what she was talking about.

“So?” She went back to nudging my elbow. “What do you think of him?”

I reluctantly returned my gaze to the new guy. He was half turned away this time. From the side profile, something about him rang strangely familiar, and it sent a zinger I wasn’t expecting through all my girly parts. I blinked, wondering where the heck that had come from. Then he turned fully away, and the bulkiness and breadth of his shoulders brought back a complete stranger’s profile, which knocked some reality back into me.

He really was a massive work of perfection, but I felt uncomfortable by the unexpected way just looking at him had made my body react. Guilt bit at my conscience because I’d only ever experienced such an instant physical craving for one other person in my life.

So I said, “Meh. Too dark and brooding for my taste.”

I blew out a breath, wanting out of this conversation almost as much as I wanted to crawl out of my own skin and just be...someone else. “I didn’t say I ever hated you.”

“So you love me?” Her voice was soft as she stepped closer.

Dropping my gaze to her, I could do nothing but stare into her penetrating eyes. Panic filled my chest. But I kept facing her directly, afraid to show just how much this slip of a woman intimidated me.

She moved even closer. “All you have to do is say you don’t love me anymore, and I’ll turn around right now, and walk out. I’ll never bother you again.”

This was my chance. My golden opportunity to save her from me. And I couldn’t take it.

Gritting my teeth, I clutched my head in my hands and felt my face go red as I bit out, “God...damn you.”

I'm working on Asher's book in the series now.  Hopefully--fingers crossed--it will be here before 2015 ends, but maybe not before Baby Kage #2 arrives in November.  I'm not sure.  I just know his story is next!  :)

Thanks for dropping by.

If you hang around my website or Facebook anytime within the next month before WORTH IT release, you might catch some giveaways and sales on other books!

Have a great summer!

Cover Reveal for SILENT SCARS by Ada Frost!!

Monday, July 20, 2015
I'm all giddy and excited for my buddy Ada Frost who has a cover for her next book - Silent Scars  - coming out later this year (2015)!

Check it:

Isn't it so awesome?  Want to know what's even cooler?  Ada made that cover herself.  I know; she's awesome too!

This one is Ryan's book in the Surviving Series.  If you've read any of her previous stories, you've probably been waiting for this one for a while.  But it's almost here, so the wait is almost up.  YAY!

Here's what Silent Scars is about:

Her Man
Their Hero
His Pain.
What happens when you pray for death and you’re ignored?
You have to live.
You have to survive.
But what if the last thing you want is to take your next breath?
To the world, Ryan is a hero, an ex-marine, brother, son, and protector.  He has devoted his life to keeping others safe.  He will do anything and everything to ensure his loved ones are protected, even if that means destroying his very own soul. After an explosion on the battlefield ends his career in the Marines, Ryan is sent home with an honorable discharge. But the war hasn’t ended for him.
He is home, he is free, and he’s breathing, but he’s dead inside.
For once, he is the one in need of saving. He needs a savior.
And that's all I know for now!
I'll bug you again at the end of this week with information about my next book, coming out next month.
Happy Reading!

2015 Linda Kage Updates

Wednesday, January 7, 2015
It's been too long since I talked about what's going down in Linda Kage land, so here's a few things coming this year!

With Every Heartbeat-
Book four in the Forbidden series (Quinn's story) is on track (I think!) and should be ready by March 2nd for its release date!  I still have to get edits back from the editor, revise, then send it off to the proofreader, then read it one more time, then get it formatted and THEN it should be ready to go!! It's getting so close, though!  I've been making banners for it!

A Perfect Ten-
I know some people are more ready for Ten's story than Quinn's, but I assure you, Ten actually starts his story in With Every Heartbeat, so you won't be disappointed thinking you won't get any Ten. Oh, he will be in book four!  And to further reassure you...A Perfect Ten (book five in the Forbidden Men series) will release very soon after With Every Heartbeat, like within a month soon., right? Am I forgiven for making him go fifth instead of fourth?

Forbidden Men Facebook Group
To help pass the time until March and April, I've been putting up little excerpts and posters about both stories.  And then some lovely reader just started a Forbidden Men Lovers facebook group, so  I've been adding some exclusive excerpts there too!  That group can be found at if you want to join! There isn't a lot of activity, so trust me, it wouldn't overwhelm you with lots of posts.

Price of a Kiss Audio Book
Price of a Kiss's audio book on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes is coming along nicely.  It's been narrated and produced, and we're just waiting for it to head to retail stores! I'll announce more on that when it's actually available! :)

Cheap Linda Kage Books
In preparation for With Every Heartbeat and A Perfect Ten, the first three books in the Forbidden Men series will go on sale at different times in February.

Price of a Kiss will be available for $0.99 from February 2nd to February 7th!
To Professor, with Love will be available for $0.99 from February 9th to 21th! And...
Be My Hero will be available for $0.99 from February 23rd to 28th!

There are two reason To Professor, With Love's sale will last two weeks while the other two will last only one.  First, the other two have been on sale before, while this will be TPWL's first time (he's  little nervous about this being his first time, too, but I told him sales are good, it will be okay). And the other reason TPWL's sale is lasting two weeks instead of one is... With Every Heartbeat and A Perfect Ten can hopefully be read as a standalone, but they'll make more sense if you read at least TPWL first, so...that's why that is that, since I knew you were curious (which, okay, you probably weren't!) Anyway...

Stories in Progress
So, after I finished the rough drafts for With Every Heartbeat and A Perfect Ten, I wasn't too certain what to work on next.  I have to write Bailey's story from the Granton University series. I love her hero guy so far, so that could be fun.  But I also have plans for Cassidy and Keller from the story Delinquent Daddy. The scene I have written for that seems fun too, but also kind of steamy. Then there's Sarah and Brandt's story from the Forbidden Men series, and lots of people want a story for Price of a Kiss from Mason's point of view, plus I have a young adult story that's been hanging out in my head for months (I should probably get that out of there soon before it leads to some kind of infection).

And I have to get Asher's book written. He's supposed to be book six in the Forbidden Men series and I still have plans to get him a book out by August, but suddenly...this other story idea came to me, and the main guy in it turned into yet another Forbidden Man, and you think it'd be terribly, awfully rude of me if I came out with a brand new, never heard-of before Forbidden book and made it book six, which would push Asher's story to the book seven slot??  Let me know your thoughts on that...because this story idea won't leave me alone (the creeper!) and I really want to tell it!

To say the least, there should be plenty more to read from me in the future.  I just have no idea which order they'll be coming in!

Thanks for listening to me yammer on and on!  You'll hear more from me soon! Hugs.
