 What I've Been Writing:

I'm still working on writing Day Robber (and I'm getting the itch to change the title again. Maybe to The Impostor Prince...I don't know! So many decisions!) Anyway, I added a scene I hadn't planned on adding that pretty much changes the whole plot from less of a love triangle situation to more of a fated mates thing, which I actually dig more. It's making me all excited about it again. I'm so glad I decided to toss that random scene in there all spur-of-the-moment-like and shit. Yay, me! We're up to 83,000 words now.  It's moving along again! Slowly. But actually moving.

What I've been Reading:

I'm still working on getting the same book read this week that I was reading last week: Forbidden Alchemy. But the banter's starting to spark, so maybe I'll read faster now.

What I've Been Buying:

I'm beginning to worry about myself. The book-buying addiction is real. I pre-ordered special edition hardbacks from AcryliPics, The Ink Pages, Lit Haven Booktique, and Fairyloot this week. I really need to cut that out. But, ooh, they were so pretty. It'll probably be months before I actually get any of them in my hands to share with you, though, so for this week, all I received was Arcana Academy

And I said I'd show you my new katana sword bookends today too, didn't I, so here they are as well! Cool, uh? My nine-year-old saw them like this and pulled each end away from their magnets before bringing them to me and crying, "I thought you stabbed the books!" It was classic. Made the whole purchase worth it.

 What I've Been Writing:

Hey, I'm back into writing.  Kind of. I'm up to 77,000 words on Day Robber. With the new life changes I have going on, I think it'll be a while--if ever--before I can really put in a big weekly word count again. But I'll keep sneaking in time to work on my stories whenever I can!

What I Read:

I finished reading The Knight and the Moth. I'm pissed at the boy king right now, but I loved the story.  Can't wait for Book 2. Now I'm reading Forbidden Alchemy by Stacey McEwan.

What I Bought:

This week, I bought a copy of Three Shattered Souls (Book 3 of the Broken Blades)! And I think I'm going to start getting obsessed with collecting unique bookends. I ordered this katana bookend to go with the Broken Blades series.  I'll show you a pic next week after it comes in. So until then, hugs!  Have a good one.

 What I've Been Writing:

Once again, I didn't get any writing done. This week was spent getting my kiddos through a dance competition. Here's hoping next week is more productive, writing-wise.

What I Read:

I finished reading A Study in Drowning. Then I zoomed through Shield of Sparrows, which was just the kind of book I love.  Now I'm working my way through The Knight and the Moth, which feels very poetic, like classic literature-esque.  But also my-kind-of-story is mixed into that! I'm enjoying it.

What I Bought:

Got a copy of Never the Roses this week.  And I decided to try out the book box subscription Allurial. So I got A Dance of Lies from them!

What I've Been Writing:

I started to read through what I've written already of Day Robber in order to get back into the groove of the story, but I didn't actually add any new word count, so...no new words this week either. Let's hope for some next week.

What I've Been Reading:

I finished reading Heartless Hunter and Rebel Witch. Loved them. Then I started one that I stopped because I realized that I don't think bully romances are my favorite flavor. So I've started a romantasy that will hopefully be more my speed.

What I've Been Buying:

I got these four books this week.  My daughter said the magic words last weekend: "Mommy, Books, and 7Brew." So we went to the local bookstore and coffee shop, and I came home with Our Infinite Fates and an iced Brunette. Then, I received a used special edition of A Fate Inked in Blood with the metallic edge to match the book 2 in that series that I got last week. And then I pre-ordered the other two that showed up this week: Opal and A Forbidden Alchemy.
